Retired Educator: Consulting service - Start Learning, Inc
About Me:
After leaving U of M, I began an teaching career. I also got married to Archie Collins and will be celebrating my 35th anniversary with him this year. We had 2 children who are now both married and I am the grandmother of 1.
I enjoyed my career and after working in the Detroit Public Schools for 30 years, 6 as a principal, I decided to retire in 2002. I have done consulting work as a principal coach with DPS through Marygrove College. This year I am on my own with Start Learning, Inc. as my consulting group for working on testing & data in the schools. This was also to help me have more stress free time to enjoy my family.
What do you love about being a Delta?
Life changes when you become a wife, mother and career woman, yet the sisterhood is always there. Understanding the service, camaraderie and loyalty are the most important parts of Delta that have remained with me throughout the years.

Are you coming to the luncheon? I understand the "back to work" statement. I have been off this year. I'm having a hard time saying I want to get back in the work force. There is just so much to do (though so little money). I am still weighing my options. : )
Hi Bunny,
I went back to work!! What a mistake(smile) Too, too busy these days with Delta and all these other organizations. Hope everyone there is doing ok. Hope to see you in October!!!
It was good getting to meet another Nu chapter soror :-) I see we also have DPS in common. I'm sure we will have many more chances to talk. I didn't realize how much fun the book club meetings were! It's more than just the book...LOL!
It was great seeing you at the book club event last night!! It is weird how I have changed significantly, however, you seem to look younger? How on earth did you manage to do that?
Hopefully I will see you at the next sorority meeting and tell Uncle Archie I said hello!!!

My granddaughter, Mikaela Baker, applied for NU Chapter Scholarship. Talk to your NU chapter sorors for me.
