About Me:
After graduating from Cass Tech in 1989. I attended Hampton University where I majored in Political Science. I returned home to Detroit after graduating from Hampton in 1993 with my BA and pledged Delta Sigma Theta - Southfield Alumnae Chapter. In 1995, I began a 7 year career at the Allstate Insurance Company as a Auto Liability Claims Adjuster and then as a HR Representative. I received a MA from Wayne State University in Industrial Relations/HR Management in 1998. I have been employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs as a HR Specialist since May 2003. I married Thomas G. Humes, Jr. on September 2, 2007 and we live in northwest Detroit with our 2 dogs ~ Drake and Dozer.
