Representative Marcia L. Fudge Fundraiser

I’m pleased to share with you an upcoming fundraising event in
Washington DC in honor of Representative Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11), on Wednesday,
September 23, 2009 from 6pm to 8:30pm at the Jefferson Capitol Yards. As you may
know, Representative Fudge is the only member of the United States Congress who
is a part of our beloved sorority and she is continuing the great legacy of
representation that was left vacant by Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones, who
left us all too soon last year.

While many carry the torch on the hill honorably, Representative Marcia L. Fudge
(OH-11) was the only woman of color, and African American, to be sworn-in to the
freshman class of the 111th Congress. Because we understand the importance of
maintaining that vo
ice, I’ve organized group of professional women to come
together to raise campaign funds for Representative Fudge. Additionally, two
very prominent Deltas have come on board in support of the fundraiser, 10th Past
National President Dr. Dorothy I. Height and former Secretary of Labor, The
Honorable Alexis M. Herman.

minimum contribution amount for those attending the fundraiser is $100. A
special VIP reception will be held for those who contribute over $250.
